I've been considering what the Lord would have me share about the power of God working in my life and as I was worshipping tonight during the live broadcast it came in my heart about how God inhabits the praises of his people. I am a painter by trade and if you're familiar with house painting, you understand it can be a very physical job. I work alone and do all phases of the jobs myself, which includes setting up scaffolding and whatever else is required to accomplish the job, be it interior or exterior. Needless to say, my body would tell me I need to take a break when I get home and rest awhile. However, the scriptures tell us to "put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness" (Is.61:3). So instead of relaxing, I turn on the live broadcast and worship before the Lord, and the weariness slips away and I am refreshed. That is the power of God operating in a person's life. Sometimes it takes longer to push the oppression off but if we continue to press in and not give in to the weariness, we will overcome. I would like to add that we don't have to wait for the broadcast from Water of Life. We can "speak to ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody in our hearts to the Lord" (Eph.5:19), always. I thank God for the opportunity to share about the gospel; it's better than a "power nap"!! God bless you.
