I was considering the things the Spirit of God spoke this morning about how He will reveal Himself to the meek, the humble, the lowly of heart and I was reminded of the scripture in Micah 6:8, He hath shewed thee, Oh man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?" In the margin of my bible it says, "humble thyself to walk". I have found that humility is a choice, but I also know God grants us the grace to humble ourselves.
God's word says in IPeter5:5, ..."God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." As God leads us in a righteous path, our hearts will be exposed to us, and it is the mercy of God that He exposes our heart and shows us our pride and self-righteousness, that we might be delivered. Is it uncomfortable? Most certainly. But He is turning us from darkness to light, changing our old wine skin into a new one. I am learning that when the Spirit of God is convincing me of my sin, to not faint, to humble myself and keep believing this Gospel, that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead will deliver me out of that darkness and into the light of the glorious gospel.
I thank God that Jesus said those who will come to Him, He will in no wise cast out. Keep believing!
God Bless you,
Kathy
